Another February gone, another Fashion Week finished..

LFW... blah, blah, blah. It happened. I went.

I'm never one to ruminate much about clothes anyway, but living out of a suitcase for a couple of months meant I had a much more limited "fashion" wardrobe at my disposal than normal, so as we headed to most of our events, Kasey would look me up and down and say, "you're wearing THAT???"

To which I would reply with one or more of the following:

1) It's cold.
2) All my comfortable heels are in storage.
3) Nobody's looking at me anyway.

All true.

Yet despite being blatantly out-of-place, and more stressed than normal, I managed to take some pics.

Enjoy!

A model worth mentioning, Alek Wek.

A Geldolf sister? Not sure... all the models looked the same and we didn't know that Peaches and her pack were in this PPQ show till afterward when everyone was yakking about it (Kasey and I actually just thought they were curiously using bigger and shorter models than usual). But we sat behind a member of "Girls Aloud" (who knows this group anyway? we also didn't know why all the paps were taking snaps till after). And Alexa Chung was across the way... we watched her try to shield a cold sore from photographers. "Celebrities! They're just like us!"

LFW wrap party.

Kasey was in love with this man.

Final walk.

Cake! Compliments of Antoni & Alison... yay.

The Brits (even the skinny supermodel ones) love their teas... we interloped on another tea party at St. Martin's hotel... Kasey was agog at all the fashion royality that we were sharing tight air space and tables with... I was oblivious and just happily munched on a cupcake.

Girls wearing interesting headgear at Jalouse.

This outfit, I like.

Yeah... more parties...

Holding a show in the narrow and cold Burlington Arcade? Seriously - what were they thinking?

London Fashion Week: Do-It-Yourself

Yep, it's that time again, LFW... only this time my participation rose a smidge above my usual casual observance of a few runway shows; Kasey and I got roped into helping our friend Bosaina with the promotionals for her fledgling basbousa line.

We spent an afternoon last week shooting the video below... we caused quite the scene running around swank Sloane Square - NYC this isn't... we received more than one shocked/horrified/appalled stare. And in a twist on the infamous Breakfast at Tiffany's mask-stealing scene, we all picked a similar animal-mask persona - I chose the frog and a pink guitar as a prop... I felt like something of a dark primordial Kermit. What fun. Enjoy!

**snow** *post*

A few majestic snow pictures before we get too far away from winter and my trip home and they entirely lose their relevance. The snowy mountains are, by far, my favourite thing about Utah... these were all taken at Sundance - the ski resort on the backside of the mountain where I grew up. Enjoy!

I almost died on this run once!

Snowboards overlooking my valley.

Dining, literally, on the edge of the world.

Frozen cascades of waterfalls.

Kasey and my Dad - at the summit.

Field of poles.

Taken in a brief pause before traversing the darkened woods.

And here's the Wasatch Mountain range from above... as seen from the plane on my way back to London.

But what to wondering eyes should appear! Lo and behold, the day I arrive in London, there was a Utah-worthy blanket of snow awaiting me; black cabs were slipping around on the icy streets... and I saw people clearing off their walks with garden shovels - Londoners are woefully prepared for snow!

Nevertheless, every London household didn't miss their once-in-a-lifetime chance to make snowmen! The quickly-melting, well-dressed, mounds were everywhere!

Wandering Banchee

Back in London now (witness the snowman remnants of our freakish snowstorm!) And I'm harried and homeless (again!) Going on week 2 of living under the roofs and good graces of friends as I'm reminded what hell trying to find a clean/modern/well-located flat can be; the places some people acceptably call "home" can be downright horrifying... and depressingly so.

Oh that the endless ugly flat roaming was only half as scenic as these pics from home.

I'd even settle for the "ignore the power lines" versions of the roadside scenery!

Cross your fingers that I don't have to reduce my standards to "slum" and that someone with a decent flat will take me in soon!
