Behold... Kasey's first video creation. This will give you a more, well, moving picture of London Fashion Week than what I normally provide. It is also the first of many such solo and collaborative creations we plan to deliver. Welcome to sestra nožisková. Enjoy!
P.S. This mini-film premiered on our friend Stefan's site Not Just a Label and is also where you can find Kasey's article on the latest exhibit at The Welcome Collection, Dressing Up Calamity.

Absolutely Quasi-Fabulous
The best nights are always those that are not planned nor can be recreated, instead they unfold happenstance in the most wildly unpredictable fashion. They are always the nights you were anticipating you'd stay in with popcorn and a movie, and the next thing you know, you've been whisked to a dance club with a group of rock stars you ran into at Blockbuster - in your pajamas no less. This past Saturday was such a night. Kasey and I flat-out missed the "planned" event (a Martin Margiela party) - but quickly found ourselves caught up with the remaining straggling revellers who, right there on the pavement, proceeded to cobble together an after-party.
After a march through Mayfair, we found ourselves in a dark, tiny, cave-like room in the basement of Soho House (it was the only place they could find to put us) where we talked art, ambition and parental expectations. Occupationally, it was a creative mixed bag... a singer, installation artist, fashion stylist, makeup artist, model, dilettante (me), fashion PR revolutionary - you know, the delectable crazy-artist gamut. Then, feeling we knew each other a bit better, and growing tired of heavy conversation, we traded in the demureness of our Soho grotto for dancing at the equally diminutive and subterranean Bungalow 8.
It was a wholly random and interesting crowd... a fantastic evening... and to top it all off, we'll probably never be in the same room together ever again. Pictures of this once-in-a-lifetime event follow.
Enjoy!
Palm reading.
Cowboys and uh, Native Americans...
Kasey - blatantly skeptical of her newly-acquired accessory.
Don't shoot!
A stunning couple - non?
Oui.
Ze group.
Candid group.
Dancing on the tables...

And the floor!
Parting curtsies?
What happens at the 8...
Stays at the 8.

Another February gone, another Fashion Week finished..
LFW... blah, blah, blah. It happened. I went.I'm never one to ruminate much about clothes anyway, but living out of a suitcase for a couple of months meant I had a much more limited "fashion" wardrobe at my disposal than normal, so as we headed to most of our events, Kasey would look me up and down and say, "you're wearing THAT???"
To which I would reply with one or more of the following:
1) It's cold.
2) All my comfortable heels are in storage.
3) Nobody's looking at me anyway.
All true.
Yet despite being blatantly out-of-place, and more stressed than normal, I managed to take some pics.
Enjoy!
A model worth mentioning, Alek Wek.
A Geldolf sister? Not sure... all the models looked the same and we didn't know that Peaches and her pack were in this PPQ show till afterward when everyone was yakking about it (Kasey and I actually just thought they were curiously using bigger and shorter models than usual). But we sat behind a member of "Girls Aloud" (who knows this group anyway? we also didn't know why all the paps were taking snaps till after). And Alexa Chung was across the way... we watched her try to shield a cold sore from photographers. "Celebrities! They're just like us!"
LFW wrap party.
Kasey was in love with this man.
Final walk.
Cake! Compliments of Antoni & Alison... yay.
The Brits (even the skinny supermodel ones) love their teas... we interloped on another tea party at St. Martin's hotel... Kasey was agog at all the fashion royality that we were sharing tight air space and tables with... I was oblivious and just happily munched on a cupcake.
Girls wearing interesting headgear at Jalouse.
This outfit, I like.
Yeah... more parties...
Holding a show in the narrow and cold Burlington Arcade? Seriously - what were they thinking?

London Fashion Aftermath
For those of you unimpressed by my "fashion" coverage of London Fashion Week, I bring to you a peace offering. And in this case, I have an affinity for the models that doesn't involve pity, not simply because they look like healthy functioning individuals, but also since one of them happens to be my sister Kasey (seen above). This past weekend, post-facial, post-procrastination, and post- a-wee-bit-of-protest, Kasey helped our friend Bosaina (the 2nd) by posing in Ms. BII's inaugural collection for her label basbousa. Find the full photo spread here.
Probably because I'm much more of a music person than I am a clothes person, I'm particularly fond of the resulting video... this is set to a great tune (Johnny Thunder's version of a A Great Big Kiss), plus watching Kasey speed-walk in heels is oddly endearing and amusing. I've pasted it below.
P.S. - Just to make it perfectly clear, in the parting shot, Kasey is NOT naked... just wearing a corset that didn't quite make it into the frame. (And that comment totally made all the guys in the audience rush to click on the clip - didn't it?)
Enjoy!

Déjà Vu

London Fashion Week is here and Kasey is once again covering it for Fashion FM. This time around she got spotted by the London-equivalent of The Sartorialist: Face Hunter. See her sporting a cool feather necklace here - the fourth girl down on his February 11th post. I swear I wasn't the one who started saying she was my favorite of his picks for the day ... but I'm going to go leave a comment of that nature right now!

So while I'm . . . well, where I am . . . my darling sister Kasey has been working the crowd at London Fashion Week. Italy's Fashion FM has entrusted her with the demanding/any-fashionista-would-kill-for task of interviewing the whole lot of the Britannia's design divas. You can hear her talking to everyone from Henry Holland to Bora Aksu by clicking here.
Sure, dashing around in stilettos without wincing, paying attention to round after round of garment parades, and looking stunning while holding a microphone and asking intelligent questions is tough - but she pulls it off - and still makes it to the after-parties.
